The Executive Team Advantage is designed for executives who want to push well beyond satisfactory results and pursue excellent results.

The Executive Team Advantage will help you break through your current thinking about success and team work, enabling you to create the process and environment for your leadership team to thrive. Your team will achieve extraordinary results more smoothly, more confidently and in ways you might not have thought possible.

 
 
The Executive Team Advantage is a twelve-month program with ten to twenty senior executive participants from a variety of industries and geographical locations. The participants attend one full-day workshop approximately every 90 days for a total of four workshops in the year. Each session includes diagnostic tools, skill building, best practices and a focused action plan for team success.

Workshop 1 – The Foundation
You will be introduced to the key concepts that serve as the basis for this year-long program. Based on a survey taken by you and your direct reports, you will discern the team strengths and opportunities for improvement. From this information, you will formulate a plan to improve team performance.

Workshop 2 – The People
We will explore the alignment between organizational needs and the skills, talents and motivations of your team members. You will discover myriad techniques to ensure alignment between your people and the organization.

Workshop 3 – Communication
The currency of teamwork is precious airtime between you and each team member as you discuss issues and make decisions. You will analyze your current communications and decision-making patterns, creating a plan to ensure more effective and efficient teamwork with your direct reports.

Workshop 4 –Accountability
The number one issue facing executives today is accountability – ensuring others complete their assignments on time, hassle-free and within budget. You will be introduced to the seven steps to ensure accountability within your leadership team.

 
 
Ongoing Support
As part of the Executive Team Advantage Program you will have direct phone access to the Program Consultant who can answer any questions or address any issues that come up. During the months between the workshop sessions there will be two opportunities for each participant to have personalized sessions with this consultant. The participants can choose to have coaching phone calls, assessment reviews, teleconferences or observation/feedback sessions to have questions answered as well as receive support for specific implementation of the concepts and tools of the Program.

Those who join the Executive Team Advantage are all highly motivated, seasoned leaders within a wide variety of non-competing industries and organizations. They all share a common experience: the issues, challenges and opportunities to leading their teams.

Many clients tell us the reconnecting with their group is their favorite part of the quarterly sessions. There are three reasons for this:

  • Executives have unique challenges and no one to talk to. It’s nice to be with people who face the same kinds of challenges and who can understand.
  • The pooled wisdom of highly successful peers provides high-level discussions and a cross-pollination effect.
  • The group is self-selected. Each participant has chosen to be in the Program because of a commitment to the leadership team. This makes for an unusually dynamic community of individuals.

Location and Cost
The workshops are held in the Tower Club in the Tyson’s Corner area in Vienna, Virginia, a close-in suburb of Washington, D.C. The Tower Club is close to hotels, restaurants, and shopping. The closest airports are Washington Dulles and Reagan National in Virginia, and Amtrak stops in Washington, D.C. The full-year program including workshops, counseling and team assessments is $3,500.
