Executive
Team Advantage - FAQs
|
|
| |
Q.
Is the Executive Team Advantage Program right for me?
If your answer is “yes” to the following
four questions, you may be a candidate for the Program:
- You are an “executive”
in that you have a job title of “Director” or
above at an organization (business, education, government,
not-for-profit).
- You have three or more “direct
reports” who are responsible for different functional
aspects within your organization.
- There is a performance gap. You believe
your team is not working up to its full potential.
- You are personally committed to closing
this performance gap by making an investment of your time
and money.

Q. What
makes this program different from other team or leadership
workshops?
The Executive Team Advantage is NOT about team training or organizational
leadership. It’s about carving out space in your already
hectic schedule to invest strategic thought to the success of
your team. As such, we introduce concepts, tools and techniques
that you may (or may not) be aware of, share best practices
and create plans forward.
This is the ONLY program, according
to our research, that is singularly focused on providing support
to executives to ensure their direct reports are successful.
Our format is unique and energizing for executives who want
to push well beyond satisfactory results and aggressively
pursue excellent results.

| |
Q. Is
this a program to help “sick” teams get better?
No. This program is NOT for dysfunctional teams. It is specifically
designed to help good teams or even excellent teams become extraordinary!
To ensure this is the appropriate program for you, each candidate
and his or her direct reports will be asked to complete a web-based
profile prior to registration.

|
| |
Q. How
can this Program possibly help my Leadership Team when they
aren’t even in the sessions?
When the “voice of the team” needs to be heard,
we have several assessments and assignments to ensure you are
considering the opinions of your direct reports.
After each session, we highly encourage
you to share your insights and your plan with your leadership
team. We have found this simple act alone creates tremendous
team awareness!

|
| |
Q. How
will I know if my team is improving?
Most team-based workshops don’t even try to quantify results.
We do. We measure progress of your plan’s four focus areas.
We compare your initial team profile assessment at the beginning
of the program to the end of the program. Finally, your team
will tell you in their words and actions.
Expect to see the following outcomes:
- Greater results/achieve targets
- Calmer, smoother, more efficient
operations
- Better communication
- Better execution of tasks and programs
- Greater accountability and integrity
- Greater appreciation for contributions
of others
- Better teamwork.

Q. What
are the “options” for?
The “options” are a menu of choices to answer specific
questions and support implementation of the concepts and tools
of the program. Offered on a monthly basis, the options include
coaching phone calls, assessment reviews, teleconferences and
feedback sessions.

|
| |
Q. How
many people participate in the Executive Team Advantage Program?
A maximum of twenty participants.
|
|
| |
Q. How
much is the tuition?
$3,500 for the year. The tuition is non-refundable and due upon
acceptance into the program. You can pay by major credit card,
check or company purchase order. You pay your own expenses (travel,
lodging) to get to McLean, VA. Breakfast and lunch are included.
|
|
| |
Q. Are
there make up sessions?
No. You must block your calendar for all four sessions and make
the commitment to be at all four sessions. There are no refunds.
|
|
| |
Q. How
much preparation is required for each session?
Each session will have some “homework” to include
a few pages of reading, an assessment, which may or may not
include your direct reports, and commitment to the plan you
develop for the next ninety days!
|
|
| |
Q. How
do I get accepted into the Program?
If you meet the criteria, complete the registration
form. Kristin will call you to ensure alignment between
your goals and the Program’s goals as well as a”
fit” with the other participants. (It’s important
to us that we ensure a highly supportive, non-threatening and
non-competitive environment). If there is a good fit, we will
send you a link to the web-based survey to complete within seven
days. Based on the results of the survey, Kristin will extend
an invitation for you to participate.
